Video: Jim DeMint Versus President Obama–It’s On!
A little back story, for those who don’t know: Politico reported a couple of days ago that Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) was quoted as saying in regard to ObamaCare, “If we’re able to stop him on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him”. This was in the context of explaining that to conservatives, ObamaCare represents a crucial zero barrier for personal freedom in America.
So today, President Obama fired back by saying that ObamaCare isn’t about him:
“Just the other day,” the president continued, “one Republican senator said — and I’m quoting him now — ‘If we’re able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him.’ Think about that. This isn’t about me. This isn’t about politics. This is about a health care system that is breaking America’s families, breaking America’s businesses, and breaking America’s economy.”
Pssst–here’s a hint: It’s all about him. Pass it on.
But then DeMint fired back:
DeMint is on fire at this point. Republicans need to continue to point out the failure of porkulus to stimulate anything but government. The more stimulus is shown to have failed miserably, the less credibility President Obama will have trying to ram anything through that just has to be done now.
